Our vision is simple: Love Jesus. Love Others. Change the World. These words describe both the church we hope to be and the journey we invite every person to share.
LOVE JESUS
We gather to worship, hear the story of Jesus, ask honest questions, and grow in the faith that changes everything.
LOVE OTHERS
We share life beyond Sunday morning, forming genuine relationships through classes, groups, care, and encouragement.
CHANGE THE WORLD
We follow Jesus into lives of service, sharing the gospel and meeting needs in Wichita Falls and around the world.
OUR STORY
For more than six decades, Edgemere has been part of the Wichita Falls community. Through changing seasons, a commitment to service and mission has remained at the heart of our life together.
1959
Edgemere held its first worship service on April 26 with 116 charter members, planted to serve the growing southeast side of Wichita Falls.
1963
Members of Edgemere established Wichita Christian School, beginning a relationship that continues to shape generations of students and families.
1979
After the devastating Wichita Falls tornado, the church served neighbors whose homes and lives had been disrupted, deepening a lasting heart for the community.
TODAY
Edgemere continues to worship, form disciples, care for Wichita Falls, and participate in God’s work across the world.
OUR HERITAGE
Edgemere is an independent Church of Christ congregation shaped by the Restoration Movement. We want to be simply Christian—rooted in Scripture, centered on Jesus, and generous toward one another.
UNITY
“Christians only, but not the only Christians.” We seek the unity for which Jesus prayed without pretending that sincere believers never disagree.
BIBLE
We receive Scripture as God’s gift to guide our churches, our families, and our lives and as the reliable source for knowing Jesus.
LIBERTY
In essentials, unity; in opinions, liberty; and in all things, love. We make room for different conclusions while treating one another with respect.
